KAFKA KABARET – Project Dedication to Franz Kafka’s 100th death Commemoration (1924-2024).
The project pays homage to this milestone, celebrating Kafka’s legacy through an exploration of absurdity.

This surreal experience takes place in a parallel reality, resembling a dream filled with inexpressible poetry and hallucinogenic visions.

Techniques include physical theater, interactive visual bodywork, butoh, swing and music. Electroacoustic music is regulated by real-time scanning of brainwave activity, electromagnetic fields and the iPad.

The first open rehearsal happened 15 July 2024 during Experyment Festival, Zbaszyn, Poland.

Recommended for viewers 18+.

THE SECOND REVIEW BY Magdalena Miś-Herbeć

And suddenly I am here, in the midst of a multitude of thoughts, chaotic neural connections. Somewhere next to, close to or a little further from myself. Or maybe I’m just dreaming? You keep me in this state, you sharpen my vision, bite after bite I begin to fill myself with you. I guess I need to smell you or ask what you had for breakfast. I feel like we’re talking…we’re screaming and being silent together. I feel your body temperature. From your tower you see me perfectly, you drip at my feet, I wander closer and closer. I open my mouth and you get under my skin. You don’t have to look at me, I know you can see me, I’m naked too… I like watching you suffer… do you think it’s good? I climb to you sitting, I dance my sorrows with you.
Do you feel like that too, and he and she sitting next to me? Keep telling me, loop us. Pull as hard as you want, I’m at the end of this rope and I see you. Thank you for the invitation.
