SYNTROPIC
Experimental Theatre Production — Directed by Gerdi Petanaj
Art Quarter Budapest, Hungary — February 20, 2025
In December 2024, I was invited to participate in a new experimental theatre production directed by Gerdi Petanaj in Hungary. The project grew out of Petanaj’s many-year study of syntropy — explored through film and performance — and culminated in a one-hour stage work titled SYNTROPIC.
Syntropy represents a movement toward greater complexity, coherence, and life — the opposite of entropy. It does not dissolve but organizes, weaving chaos into form.
The piece integrated live music, improvisation, and performance, creating a hybrid form between theatre, sound, and moving image.
For this project, I directed and performed my own piece within the overall production.
